Our client was going into town to do some shopping. He was proceeding along the road when he approached some road works. While he was passing through the road works the third party driver failed to observe the road and collided into the rear of his vehicle. The client then got out of his vehicle and took photos of both vehicles, exchanged details and went home. Mr Robinson then contacted our specialist personal injury solicitors and instructed us to act for him in respect of his car accident claim.
The third party insurers did not responds in relation to liability but put forward a pre medical offer in settlement of the claim for personal injury in the sum of £1500.00.
The file was transferred to Mrs Arshad who took over conduct of the claim.
Feriyal made Mr Robsinon aware that as he had not been medically examined which meant we do not know the full extent of his injuries and recommended the offer be rejected. However, Mr Robnson wanted to conclude the claim as quickly as possible and accepted the offer.
We advised Mr Robinson to reject the pre medical offer on the basis that he had not been medically examined which meant we were not aware of the full extent of his injuries. This could mean that there is a possibility the claim may be under settled. It is our duty to make the client aware of this and we try to secure the maximum compensation for our clients however some clients are happy to settle immediately to avoid waiting longer for another offer to be made. Mr Robinson was more than happy with the amount he recovered and was very happy with our service as he felt he was kept up to date regularly. He confirmed he would be happily recommend us to friends and family.
